Overview
We are seeking a Canada or United States-based, remote Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This mid-level role is vital in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of custom AI software projects for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee project lifecycles from initial scoping through final delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI engineers, developers) to establish clear goals, deliverables, and success metrics
- Implement and maintain project management artifacts
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, identifying and proactively addressing potential roadblocks or risks
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, facilitating regular status updates and gathering feedback
- Track and report project progress, budget utilization, and resource allocation to internal stakeholders
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and post-project retrospectives
- Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives, leveraging lessons learned to refine internal workflows and project management best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within software development or technology-focused environments
- Strong understanding project management best practices and principles with hands-on experience using project management tools (ClickUp)
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope, balancing competing priorities and constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Bonus Skills
- Experience working on AI or machine learning projects, demonstrating familiarity with basic AI development concepts and primitives
- Background in client-facing roles or professional services
- Formal project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
