Overview:

We’re seeking a dynamic Marketing & Publicist Lead who will drive our brand awareness, cultivate thought leadership opportunities for our CEO, and support revenue growth through targeted marketing strategies. This role sits on the leadership team, working closely with the CEO and sales. The ideal candidate is a versatile marketer with strong creative instincts, comfortable evolving our existing brand voice, and passionate about positioning us as a go-to partner for U.S. technology startups.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Brand Evolution: Work within existing brand voice and style guidelines, with the freedom to refine and evolve them as needed.
  • ICP & Messaging: Understand, refine, and continually optimize Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) to guide strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Content Creation & Distribution: Produce daily video-forward content for LinkedIn and X (Twitter), ensuring consistent, high-quality output that resonates with our ICP.
  • Podcast Content Management: Oversee the editing and production of interviews into polished podcast episodes for YouTube; coordinate with freelancers as necessary.
  • Newsletter: Produce a monthly newsletter aimed at our ICP's.
  • Website Content & Updates: Collaborate with internal and external contributors to publish compelling website content that showcases our expertise and value proposition.
  • Conference Coordination: Identify and secure relevant conferences and events, handling end-to-end logistics including scheduling, travel, materials, and securing speaking or sponsorship opportunities.
  • Analytical Reporting: Track and report on marketing initiatives against MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) targets, providing regular insights and actionable recommendations to the leadership team.

Publicist & Thought Leadership:

  • Media Placements: Proactively identify and pitch key industry podcasts and publications to feature our CEO, focusing on strategic thought leadership appearances that reach target audiences.
  • Speaking Engagements: Secure speaking opportunities at relevant conferences, associations, and industry forums, amplifying the company’s visibility and positioning our CEO and brand as thought leaders.

Collaboration & Tools:

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the CEO and sales team to ensure marketing, PR efforts, and business development align with broader revenue goals.
  • Tool Recommendations: Suggest and implement the necessary marketing and PR tools to optimize workflow, analytics, and content distribution.
  • Content Calendar Management: Maintain a comprehensive editorial and events calendar, ensuring a cohesive narrative across all marketing and publicity efforts.

Co-Marketing & Partnerships:

  • Partnership Strategy: Explore and implement joint marketing campaigns with key industry partners, leveraging each other’s networks to reach new audiences and generate qualified leads.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing Experience: 5+ years in a marketing or publicity role with a track record of building brand awareness, creating compelling content, and driving measurable lead generation.
  • Content Savvy: Strong storytelling skills, especially in video content creation, social media marketing, and multi-channel content distribution.
  • PR Background: Demonstrated success in securing media placements, podcasts, and speaking opportunities.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficiency with marketing analytics, KPI tracking, and reporting on MQL performance.
  • Start-Up Familiarity: Experience marketing to U.S. technology startups or within the tech ecosystem is a strong plus.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
